Many older people keep large sums of cash at home rather than using banks, building societies, credit unions or other organisations to keep their valuables safe. Not only are you at risk of losing your money if you are the victim of a burglary, you also may be more susceptible to pressure from rogue traders to hand over large payments on the spot.

The Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland is keen to better understand the reasons why some older people keep cash and other valuable items at home rather than in a bank or other financial institution.

The Commissioner’s office would be keen to get your views on the reasons behind this. To download the survey click here.

Please return questionnaires to communications@copni.org or post to Communications team, COPNI, 7-9 Shaftesbury Square, Belfast, BT2 7DP by Friday 9 March 2018.
