What we do

The Commissioner and his team work on a number of different areas in order to safeguard and promote the interests of older people.

If you are aged over 60 and living in Northern Ireland, our advocacy and legal support team may be able to step in and advocate on your behalf.

We make sure that older people’s voices are heard across government, and that policymakers consider the needs of our ageing population.

A key part of the Commissioner’s role is meeting with older people from all across Northern Ireland.
