Older artists from local U3As and Arts Care submitted designs for the annual COPNI Christmas card earlier this month. 'Happy Older Snowpeople' by Alex Boden Bell from Holywood U3A was selected and will feature on the Commissioner's Christmas cards for 2014.
Older artists from local U3As and Arts Care submitted designs for the annual COPNI Christmas card earlier this month. 'Happy Older Snowpeople' by Alex Boden Bell from Holywood U3A was selected and will feature on the Commissioner's Christmas cards for 2014.
Many excellent pieces of art were submitted and the decision to choose just one was difficult. The Commissioner for Older People, Claire Keatinge said:
"Art can be enjoyed at any age and I feel it is important to celebrate the work of local, older artists. This is why I invited older people to submit designs for my Christmas card."
"I would like to thank all those who took the time to send in a design, and congratulate Alex Boden Bell on the beautiful piece of art that I'm going to use on my cards."
